American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
You may have noticed that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 recently signed by President Obama provides for the one-time payment of $250 to individuals who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security benefits. SSA expects everyone who is entitled to a payment to receive it by late May 2009. The additional good news is that this one time stimulus payment will be disregarded by SSA. There is no need to report it to SSA, or to otherwise worry about what this payment will do to eligibility for benefits or monthly payment amount. For additional information http://www.ssa.gov/
